Office Assistant

Local Freight Forwarding company is seeking an experienced Office Assistant to join our small finance team. This person will be responsible for assisting with an overflow of day-to-day accounting and administrative operations.
Job Type: Temp to Hire, Part-time
Schedule: 8:30am-1:30pm (flexible schedule)
Pay:$24-25hr
Location: Torrance, CA
- Bookkeeping: Maintaining ledgers and preparing financial records
- Processing transactions: Issuing and depositing checks, processing orders, and entering financial transactions into database
- Reconciling accounts: Monitoring and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate payments and expenses
- Auditing: Assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies
- Reporting: Creating and updating expense reports, balance sheets, and other financial reports
- Communication: Communicating with customers about their accounts by phone, email and in person
Should have strong attention to detail, be reliable, and have excellent communication skills. They should also be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. No attendance issues. Must have 3-4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field. Quickbooks is a must.
