Formulation Operator

Food manufacturer seeking a skilled Formulation Operator with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience.
 
Ensure the proper formulation and pasteurization of products by adhering to quality standards, food safety regulations, and established procedures. The role emphasizes documentation, monitoring thermal processes, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards.
 
Job Type: Full-time; on-site
Pay Range: $22-24hr
Location: Camino. CA
Schedule: Sun-Thurs; 4pm-1AM
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare blends according to established recipes and specifications.

• Verify and record the lot numbers and expiration dates of raw materials before use.

• Ensure accurate measurement of ingredients and weights for each batch.

• Perform adjustments to formulations as required by the Quality Control team.

• Complete all required documentation for formulation processes in compliance with GMPs.

• Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment, ensuring compliance with specified time and temperature parameters.

• Regularly record temperature, pressure, and flow readings to guarantee product sterility.

• Respond promptly to deviations or alarms and adjust settings as needed to maintain process control.

• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and sanitization in accordance with established protocols.

• Accurately complete all production logs, records, and forms, ensuring traceability of each batch.

• Maintain detailed records of thermal processes for compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Report any deviations, non-conformities, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

• Follow all GMP guidelines to ensure hygiene and safety in the production area.

• Conduct pre- and post-production cleaning of equipment and workspaces to maintain sanitary conditions.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products to prevent contamination.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Technical training in food processing

• Prior experience in food production, particularly in formulation or pasteurization, is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and process monitoring

• Familiarity with thermal processing, HACCP principles, and food safety standards

• Basic knowledge of GMPs and workplace safety practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
