This is a key leadership role responsible for organizing and overseeing the operational activities of the company. The role encompasses various aspects of the NVOCC's operations, including freight management, customer service, compliance, and team leadership.

 

Job Description:

·        Collaborate with management in executing strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of cargo.

·        Monitor and optimize all operational processes, from cargo booking to final delivery.

·        Book containers, coordinate customs clearance and handle customer communication.

·        Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to department managers and staff.

·        Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining strong client relationships.

·        Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

·        Ensure the company complies with all relevant industry regulations and standards.

·        Stay up-to-date with changes in international shipping regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

·        Manage compliance-related documentation and reporting.

·        Encourage innovation and process improvements within the operations department.

·        Identify and mitigate operational risks and challenges.

·        Develop contingency plans for unexpected disruptions in the supply chain.

 

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, business, supply chain management)
• Proven experience in leadership roles within the NVOCC or Freight industry.
  
• Understand international trade regulations, customs compliance and freight forwarding.
• 5+ years of international shipping and supply chain operations experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
