Location: Long Beach, CA
Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Pay Range: $22-30/hr; overtime available and sometimes required

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm


What You’ll Do:

  • Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences

  • Document details of work performed as required on work orders/travelers, including monitoring and recording material shelf life/ out life, lot number, and quantity used

  • Apply basic shop math skills

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures

  • Complete high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

  • Maintain a clean working environment to produce quality parts consistently

  • Prepare Monolithic graphite for sealing/Bonding by benching, cleaning, and applying epoxies/cement per work instruction.

  • Smooth and clean surfaces of molds, using abrasives to remove imperfections without losing vacuum integrity

  • Mix, measure, and document compounds

  • Adjust temperature controls of ovens and record heat cycles

  • Jump in to support other departments when needed—team spirit is key here

  • Able to follow written instructions and work well with a team

  • Solid communication and time management skills

Must Have:

  • Experience with epoxy application, prepreg layups

  • Worked in a manufacturing hands-on shop setting for at least 2 years (Assembly/Machine Operation/Warehouse)

Working Conditions:

  • Stand – Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Climb - Must be able to ascend/descend 3 ft. worktables and work atop molds

  • Stoop, kneel or crawl - Constantly positions self-atop/under 3 ft. worktables

  • Carry weight, lift - Frequently move/position parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
