Bonding Tech
Long Beach, CA
Manufacturing company working with aerospace, power generation, and semiconductor industries is seeking a Bonding Technician to join their team. Overtime available and sometimes required.
Location: Long Beach, CA
Pay Rate: $ 23- 29 per hour
Job Type: Temp-Hire
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Interpret blueprints and instructions to determine operational methods and sequences.
- Accurately document work details on work orders/travelers, including material shelf life/out life, lot numbers, and quantities used.
- Utilize basic shop math skills in daily tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure consistent quality output.
- Prepare monolithic graphite for sealing and bonding by benching, cleaning, and applying epoxies or cement according to work instructions.
- Smooth and clean mold surfaces using abrasives to remove imperfections while maintaining vacuum integrity.
- Mix, measure, and document compounds accurately.
- Adjust and monitor oven temperature controls, recording heat cycles as required.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment (Assembly/Machine Operation/Warehouse)

Epoxy application background preferred

Prepreg layup experience preferred

Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to reach, grab, pull and stand for entirety of shift.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Aptitude and desire to learn
- Produce high-quality work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
