International Logistics Agent
Redondo Beach, CA
 Global logistics company is seeking an International Logistics Agent for our Import and Export division.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Redondo Beach, CA
Pay: $27-28hr
Will be responsible for the following:
Import
Knowledge in agent communications
Customer service: client and vendor communications, reply to client requests, request rates, tracking updates, follow-ups, and receiving alerts
Documentation: handle all import docs, entry into the system, broker turnovers, prepping arrival notices / D/O’s
Carrier payments: including PP and CTF, delivery arrangements, drayage arrangements, cost control, cost and revenue entries, extreme attention to detail
Export
Customer service: respond to client requests, request rates from carriers and overseas agents, start quotes in the system, roll quotes to pick up’s, vendor communication for trucking / drayage, book freight, follow up on loading, pre-alerts to clients and agents
Documentation: request documentation to ensure correctness, AES filing, B/L Instructions, client/ trucker / drayage
Cost control: enter all costs and revenue in the system, tracking and tracker updates
REQUIRED:
3-4 years of import/ export freight operations experience
Strong Understanding of freight brokerage market and DOT regulations
Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
multitask and work well in a team
experience using CargoSoft, CargoWise or similar
