International Export Coordinator

As an International Export Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing global shipments, documentation, communications, and payment transactions for the company's products. Your responsibilities will include overseeing letters of credit, documentary collections, wire transfers, and other financial transactions across multiple international distribution points—including factories, U.S. and international distribution centers, vendors, and other global sources.
Key Responsibilities

Shipment & Logistics Management:
-
Oversee the invoicing, logistics, and shipping of international orders to ensure timely processing and alignment with company sales goals.

Verify shipping documents for factory-direct shipments from Skechers China offices.

Ensure cargo receipts are properly signed and dated within the required timeframe.

Documentation & Compliance:
-
Review invoices for accuracy in style, color, quantity, and pricing across multiple systems (Compass and Garpac).

Resolve pricing discrepancies with the Finance team before processing invoices.

Work closely with factories, associates, and international colleagues to clarify and resolve document discrepancies.

Prepare and issue shipping documentation, including transportation instructions, certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, and any other required paperwork.

Cross-Team & Customer Coordination:

Process order and pick-ticket downloads for shipments from U.S. and Belgium distribution centers.

Collaborate with Customer Service, Allocations, Customs, Finance, and Retail teams to resolve any order issues.

Communicate with international customers, freight forwarders, carriers, and trucking partners to facilitate smooth shipments from all global sources.

Qualifications & Skills
-
Strong understanding of international shipping, logistics, and export documentation.

Experience working with financial transactions, including letters of credit and wire transfers.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with global teams.

Proficiency in logistics or ERP systems (Compass, Garpac, or similar preferred).
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience handling International Export operations

Strong communication skills (email, phone, Zoom, etc.)

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

High attention to detail

Capable of focusing, multitasking, and prioritizing projects while meeting deadlines and goals

Skilled in managing a high volume of shipments, communications, documentation, and filing
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of experience in a trade environment with exposure to export operations

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Familiarity with shipping procedures, freight forwarding, and export terminology
-
Experience with general inventory management systems such as WMS
