Job Overview:
OSP Technician to locate and mark transmission cables for a major telecommunications carrier. This is a temporary position lasting up to six months, requiring travel to various locations. The company provides travel accommodations and per diem. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Bell system and will be proficient in locating and marking underground transmission lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Locate and mark transmission cables for a major telecommunications carrier.
• Conduct field investigations and verify the location of underground cables.
• Use specialized equipment to accurately mark transmission lines.
• Interface with local contractors and excavators to ensure proper communication and safety during excavation and cable marking processes.
• Ensure safety standards are maintained during cable locating activities.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required, with all travel and per diem expenses covered by the company.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an OSP Technician with a strong background in cable locating.
• Prior experience with the Bell system is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and travel to different job sites.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in the field.
